STAR LIGHT TREE BRIGHT

OBJECTIVE: Transparent colours cast into clear resin, create a modern bright xmas display
SKILL LEVEL -

WHAT YOU NEED -

Suitable Mould - we have used an RTV Mould from project - Chirstmas Conifers & Twinkle Twinkle
Clear Casting Resin
Release Agent, if required
Transparent dyes suitable to Clear Casting Resin - Turquoise, Emerald Green, Magenta (or desired colours)
Micro Mesh Polishing Papers / Pads


Let the fun begin -
  1. Prepare mould - ensure mould is clean & dry. Spray with release agent if required.
  2. Measure out Resin as per product instructions. Measure MEKP (hardener) into separate cup
  3. Add pigment colour. For good colour depth approximately 6 - 8 drops per 100gm, however some experimenting will be required. Mix well
  4. Add MEKP and mix well
  5. Pour coloured resin into mould and allow to cure.
  6. Polish with fine sand paper or polishing sheets to gloss finish, removing crazing
