TWINKLE TWINKLE

OBJECTIVE: A simples star design mould to be used for many casting techniques
SKILL LEVEL -
TECHNIQUES -

Mould Making - One Piece Flat Back Mould (PDF)
Casting - Casting with Polyurethane Resin (PDF) or
Casting - Casting with Clear Casting Resin (coming soon) or
Casting - Plaster Casting (coming soon)

WHAT YOU NEED -

Star shape - we have used a Stainless Steel tablecloth weight
RTV Silicone
Klean Klay
Mould Box - we used a take away food container with the bottom cut away
Mixing Cups & stirrers


Let the fun begin -
  1. Secure your star to lid - If using the “clay method” - roll out some Klean Klay onto the lid of the container. Press the star shape into the clay so that it sits securely. OR Glue star shape to the lid of the container.
  2. Cut the base of the container away. Place the container onto the lid and press to close and secure firmly.
  3. Measure, mix and pour silicone. Allow to cure.
  4. Remove mould box. Remove original star from mould.
  5. Cast "Twinkle Twinkles" in desired casting medium
